Clear-Yes a clear lens for a night under the lights or when you feel like nothing else will work. 84% VLT

Ignitor Mirror: Proprietary new universal lens tint designed to reduce eye fatigue while enhancing contrast and depth perception in all conditions. A Versatile lens tint designed to be used all season long. 35% VLT

ChromaPop™ SUN
These are all full sun lenses for those bluebird days when there isn't a cloud in the sky and you need that added protection from glare and the harsh light at higher elevations and Springtime days. The lower the VLT the better for glacier type conditions (6-9% VLT) or select the slightly higher VLT (12-16% VLT) for good full sun at higher elevations or Spring days.

  • Sun Green Mirror - 9% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Platinum Mirror-13% VLT Category S3

ChromaPop™ EVERYDAY
For sure you can't be without this lens in your lens quiver. These are your go to lenses for most conditions, from a little bit of sunny to partial cloudy, beginning to middle of the day lenses. Higher elevations might like the 25% VLT while New England and Aussi winters might prefer the 36% VLT. Can't decide? The Photochromic lenses might be just what needed with VLT ranges of 20% to 30% and 30% to 50%. Light adjusting technology for most all conditions.

  • Everyday Green Mirror - 23% VLT Category S2
  • Everyday Rose Gold - 36% VLT Category S2
  • Photochromic Rose Flash-30% to 50% VLT, Category S3-S2

ChromaPop™ Storm
Don't go to the hill without a Storm lens. Proven to enhance contrast and improve your visual acuity in low light conditions. Ever need something different for that last hour of the day or when the light is heavy blue? These are the lenses you need. Engineered to get the most out of any stormy or low light environment. Come on; enjoy that last hour or that beautiful snowfall. Choose what your eye might like, Yellow Flash for a brighter yellow glow, or Rose Flash for a more red filter, reportedly a better blue light filter.

  • Storm Yellow Flash - 65% VLT Category S1
  • Storm Rose Flash - 50% VLT Category S1

What the heck is VLT?
VLT or Visible Light Transmission is the measured percentage of available light allowed thru the lens and reaches your eye. So the lower the VLT the less light that reaches your eye and the higher the VLT the more light that reaches your eye.

    Red Chromapop Everyday

Posted by PETER SMITH on 2nd Jan 2018

Good lens, and comes as advertised. It works great on sunny days, but also is very adequate for cloudy low-light days.It was cheaper than buying a new pair of goggles, and I like the lens.

    Smith I/O X All-Day Lens (Red):

Posted by Anon E. Moose on 30th Jan 2017

I purchased the red lens after finding the two lenses that came with my I/O X goggles (the sun and low-light lenses) were good in specific conditions. This is the perfect balance that allows for all day skiing in almost any condition and I would recommend this lens to anyone who doesn't want to deal with changing lenses out unless there is an absolute need to do so, as it's versatile in a variety of conditions.

    10 x lens - ignitor mirror

Posted by Rob Erhardt on 4th Jan 2016

This is a repeat of the previous comment re goggles with Red sol-x mirror. The Goggles look good and lenses are fine - not used them yet as travel to snow at end Jan.However, I am disappointed with the level of service and advice given.I initially asked for advice on 13 September as I wear glasses and wanted to know the best configuration to purchase. After 2 follow up emails on 10 October and 14 November I eventually got a reply email on 19 November. This only partly answered my questions, so I sent another email on the same day, 19 November. I have never received a reply to this email, in spite of another follow up email on 25 November. As I was running out of time I bit the bullet and ordered the goggles, but with the lens I did not want or need as the other goggles I wanted were 'out of stock'. I also ordered a glasses adaptor, which it seems I do not need, and the lens I wanted which was only available on its own (ie without the goggles). So all in all, I spent an extra US$130 which could have been avoided had I received appropriate advice and service in the first place. As a result,I am very unhappy about the service, but the product appears to be good, though not tested at this stage.
