These lenses contain 7 magnets around the perimeter of the lens. If your IO MAG lens has 8 magnets around the perimeter of the lens it is the Early Edition (2017-2019) model!

Which lens is what?

 
Clear - A Clear lens still offers 100% UV protection this blocking some of the light and why a clear lens is not 100% VLT. A great option when all else fails or under the lights for some night riding or skiing down after skinning up under a full moon. 84% VLT
 
ChromaPop™ SUN
These are all full sun lenses for those bluebird days when there isn't a cloud in the sky and you need that added protection from glare and the harsh light at higher elevations and Springtime days. The lower the VLT the better for glacier type conditions (6-9% VLT) or select the slightly higher VLT (12-16% VLT) for good full sun at higher elevations or Spring days.
  • Sun Green Mirror - A warm rose base tint with a strong green reflective finish meant for the brightest of conditions. The ChromaPop warm rose base tint offers good definition and contrast on snow. 9% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Black - A gray base tint that is color neutral and provides excellent protection from the sun on bright days, easy on the eyes for all day wear, a black reflective performance designed lens. 12% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Platinum Mirror - Another gray base tint lens that offers exceptional bright sun protection while maintaining contrast. The platinum or silver like reflective finish makes this a good all day wear lens. 13% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Red Mirror - Built on a rose with a hint of gray base tint providing good contrast in sunny conditions. A solid red reflective finish with highest VLT of all the sun lenses that helps when you do hit a shadow. 16% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Blue Mirror - A shop favorite with a neutral gray base tint and a nice subtle tone blue reflective finish that again is perfect for all day wear on the brightest of bluebird days. 12% VLT Category S3
  • Sun Black Gold Mirror - A very stylish in good taste looking lens that features a gray base tint with a strong gold reflective finish. Bling Bling. 13% VLT Category S3
ChromaPop™ EVERYDAY
For sure you can't be without this lens in your lens quiver. These are your go to lenses for most conditions, from a little bit of sunny to partial cloudy, beginning to middle of the day lenses. Higher elevations might like the 25% VLT while New England and Aussi winters might prefer the 36% VLT. Can't decide? The Photochromic lenses might be just what needed with VLT ranges of 20% to 30%, 30% to 50%, or the Pro models that feature more wide ranging VLT's for all conditions. Embrace the light adjusting technology if you don't want to be swapping lenses.
  • Everyday Green Mirror - A striking green reflective finish with a rose base tint that might show a hint of purple at times, two contrast boosting colors on snow. A very versatile lens, shadow transitions. 23% VLT Category S2
  • Everyday Red Mirror - A very versatile medium light lens with a typical ChromaPop rose base tint that provides excellent contrast on snow, a nice red reflective finish, a variable mid Winter light lens. 25% VLT Category S2
  • Everyday Blue Mirror - A shop favorite among the ChromaPop Everyday lenses, this lens features a neutral gray base tint that is easy on the eyes preventing fatigue on long days on the hill and a nice subtle blue reflective finish diminishing glare from the sun. A nice lens in changing conditions.  23% VLT Category S2
  • Everyday Violet Mirror - A nice mixed conditions lens that features an amber/rose base tint with a stylish purple reflective finish. A good all around lens for mixed conditions. 25% VLT Category S2
  • Everyday Rose Gold Mirror - A nice bring the bling lens with a rose/brown base tint and a wonderful gold reflective finish, also good in changing light conditions while remaining stylish. 22% VLT Category S2
  • Photochromic Red Mirror - An early version of the Photochromic lenses by Smith with a narrow VLT range that helps when transitioning in and out of shadows on sunny days. 20% to 30% VLT, Category S3-S2
  • Photochromic Rose Flash - Another early version of the Photochromic lenses by Smith with a narrow VLT range favoring lower light and helpful when dodging tree wells. 30% to 50% VLT, Category S3-S2
  • Photochromic Pro Blue Mirror - An advanced all weather lens with light adaptive molecules that act fast even in colder conditions. A copper base tint with a hint of rose and a light blue reflective finish with a wide VLT range makes this a perfect one lens does all option. 16% to 51% VLT, Category S1-S3
  • Photochromic Pro Red Mirror - Another excellent one lens does all Pro Photo lens that features also features the light adaptive photochromic molecules with a somewhat purple/rose base tint offering excellent contrast, a nice mixed red to gold reflective finish that is prominent than the Blue or Gold Pro Photo lenses with a healthy VLT range,you won't be disappointed. 14% to 51% VLT, Category S1-S3
  • Photochromic Pro Gold Mirror - A purple/rose base tint that also features the light adaptive photochromic molecules producing fast photochromic changes even in colder conditions, a somewhat lighter gold reflective finish that can appear black at times. Nice lens. 15% to 57% VLT, Category S1-S3

Ever need something different for that last hour of the day or when the light is heavy blue? These are the lenses you need. Engineered to get the most out of any stormy or low light environment. Come on; enjoy that last hour or that beautiful snowfall. Choose what your eye might like, Yellow Flash for a brighter yellow glow, Rose Flash for a more red filter, reportedly a better blue light filter, or the Storm Blue Sensor, a light blend of the two and a throwback to Smith's first most sought after low light lens, the Blue Sensor Mirror. The newest addition, the Storm Amber, was developed with Smith's World Cup athletes in mind.
  • Storm Yellow Flash - The ever popular Storm Yellow continues to be amongst the best sellers each season for low light conditions. When looking through the lens you will see yellow but the subtleties of the ChromaPop base tint will provide good contrast even in challenging conditions. The light multi colored reflective finish allow your eyes to feel less fatigue at the end of your long day on the hill. 65% VLT Category S1
  • Storm Rose Flash - This one of of our favorites in mixed conditions as it provides good contrast in lower light conditions while still providing some protection even when the clouds are thin with some sun behind them. A light rose base tint . Light reflective finish. 50% VLT Category S1
  • Storm Blue Sensor Mirror - A shop favorite for many years as the Blue Sensor provides a VLT 5% better than the Storm Rose which enough to good contrast in low light conditions when clouds are heavy. Mixed base tint that appears rose but shows a hint of yellow when looking through the lens. 55% VLT Category S1
  • Storm Amber - An amber base tint that shows copper which is something we like. Developed for Smith's pro's and offers the highest VLT of all the Smith Storm lenses. A+ 67% VLT Category S1
What is VLT?
VLT or Visible Light Transmission is the measured percentage of available light allowed thru the lens and reaches your eye. So the lower the VLT the less light that reaches your eye and the higher the VLT the more light that reaches your eye.

    Great for bright bluebird days

    Effectively blocks light transmission but colors still "pop". Subtle mirror finish looks great.
